Video description

I spent a few cold weeks in Germany during Dec/Jan 2014/2015.

The weather was -well- miserable. Cold (around freezing) and humid/rainy.
Shooting for several hours almost every day was tough for someone who lives in Florida and owns no winter clothing.
However, this was also a perfect chance to test a few cameras in less then perfect weather. Here are a few scenes shot with the X920.
The camera worked basically flawlessly. The plastic doors that cover the lens when the cam is turned off did stick a few times and a gentle nudge would resolve this.
Also the memory card needed to be removed a few times to clean the contacts (could have been moisture/condensate from the air maybe).
But overall the cam worked fine shooting some 1600 clips in the process. The only negative (and I knew that beforehand)... forget the 'still photo' mode. Video cams just do not take nice photos. Just take a $200 point and click along for stills.
The strange hanging train in the video is the 'Schwebebahn'; a monorail system used as public transportation in the city for over 100(!) years.
Check out my website at schwebebahn.us if you want to know more about this unique transportation system!
