Video description

All of the video in the short film was shot by myself with my Canon 600d-1080p-24 fps.

Parts of Hunter S. Thompson’s Wave Speech from Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas are dubbed over the film with an excerpt from Riders On The Storm (The Doors) in the background.
The message I attempted to convey through the film is though the 60’s counter-culture movement may have failed, the ideas that came from the movement have not died. Hunter S. Thompson was a brilliant author/journalist and his legacy lives on.
Death Valley was a very interesting place to film in. The National Park is truly a land of extremes; at the lowest point in North America at Badwater Basin and right across the way, the highest peak in the Continental U.S., Mt. Whitney. Miles upon miles of straight desert beckons as both intriguing yet overwhelming. The vast desert was overall extraordinary and provided an amazing landscape to capture.
